A day trip out of Sydney (200 km – On bike time 3 hours).
A pillion ride is where you ride on the back of our Harley Davidson (one passenger) or Motor-Trike 9two passengers). The riders have many years of riding experience, know the roads we will travel and are licenced to carry you.
This motorcycle ride starts at Sutherland and returns to Sutherland. This is a great ride, popular with the local riders. It offers scenic views, diverse landscapes and challenging roads.
The journey begins in Sutherland a suburb in southern Sydney, where we meet you and run through what we will be doing and how to ride pillion on a motorcycle. From here, we head south through the Royal National Park, one of Australia’s oldest and largest national parks. The park is home to various wildlife (which we hope we will not meet), flora and fauna, stunning rock formations, waterfalls and beaches. Enjoy the winding roads and the fresh air as you ride through the lush forest and along the coast.
Our first stop is Bald Hill Lookout, a popular spot for hang gliding and paragliding enthusiasts. From here, we can enjoy the panoramic view of the Pacific Ocean and the Illawarra escarpment. You will also be able to see the Sea Cliff Bridge, a remarkable engineering feat that curves over the water for 665 metres. The bridge is part of the Grand Pacific Drive, a scenic route following the Southern Sydney coastline to Wollongong. We will cross the bridge, then through the suburbs of Wollongong heading inland to Jamberoo. From here we ride up to Saddleback Mountain and the spectacular views up and down the coast.
We return to the motorcycle for the ride to Kiama and the Blowhole. As we descend, the view is quite breathtaking. We will stop at the blowhole for photos and then it is time to return home. The ride home will be a mixture of freeway and the old highway.
We will stop along the way at Sublime Point, a cliff that overlooks down to the Greater Wollongong region. Here we will see one of the most breathtaking views in New South Wales and find where we had travelled earlier.
We return to the road for our second last stop at Legendary Fish and Chip at Waterfall, a friendly restaurant that serves fresh seafood and chips. After our break, we ride back to our starting point Sutherland.
